Why I Love This Pumpkin Spice Sauce
- Minimal ingredients: this easy recipe is made with just 4 simple ingredients including actual pumpkin puree vs. extracts (you'll find all real ingredients in this recipe!).
- No cooking required: all you have to do is whisk the ingredients together! No heat or mixer necessary!
- Enjoy any time of year: now you can enjoy this Starbucks pumpkin sauce but want it more than just two months a year!
Ingredient Notes & Substitutions
- Sweetened condensed milk: the main ingredient that provides a rich, smooth, sweet base for the pumpkin sauce. Make sure you're using condensed milk not evaporated milk.
- Pumpkin: make sure to use real pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling). You'll also want to use a paper towel to squeeze the excess water out so it doesn't make your pumpkin sauce watery.
- Spices: grab some cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice. You can use store-bought or homemade pumpkin pie spice if you have some on hand.
- Vanilla extract: helps balance the flavors of our pumpkin sauce
How to Make Homemade Pumpkin Spice Sauce

- Whisk together the sweetened condensed milk (14 ounce can), blotted pumpkin puree, cinnamon (1 teaspoon), pumpkin pie spice (1 teaspoon) and vanilla extract (½ teaspoon).
- Store in airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Tips & Variations
- Note: Use this easy copycat recipe in my iced pumpkin chai latte, pumpkin cream cold brew or just regular coffee.
- Adjust spices to your preference. Add more or less cinnamon to your preference, same with the pumpkin pie spice.
- If you don't have pumpkin pie spice you can mix ¾ teaspoon cinnamon and ¼ teaspoon ginger, allspice, cloves or nutmeg - whatever you have on hand!
More Ways To Use This Sweet Pumpkin Spice Sauce
