I'm Melissa, the graphic designer and baking addict behind Design Eat Repeat. I'm a Midwestern girl at heart (Iowa native!) now living outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
I've loved baking and crafting since I could reach the counter, and today I get to combine both passions by creating colorful, approachable desserts and creative resources for home bakers.

- Graphic Design & Food Publishing: Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design; former designer for Better Homes & Gardens Food Publications.
- Product Design: Invented and designed paper crafting tools for We R Memory Keepers and art directed the Sweet Sugarbelle and Sweet Tooth Fairy product lines for national retailers.
- Recipe Development: Specializes in easy baking, 9x13-pan desserts, cookie bars, and cookie cakes known for their chewy texture and bakery-quality flavor.
- Creative Leadership: Founder of Melissa Rose Design; Creative Director of Feast+, a web design system for food bloggers.
My baking philosophy is simple: baking should be fun, flavorful, and affordable.
My Midwestern roots influence everything I create - practical, generous desserts meant to be shared with family and friends. I believe the best recipes are the ones that bring people together, whether that's over a pan of scotcheroos or a giant cookie cake.
