Make your own homemade Shamrock Shake with this 5-ingredient recipe inspired by McDonald's beloved minty milkshake!

Ingredients for Easy Shamrock Shake

You don't need any fancy syrups to make a shamrock shake at home! Simply add all the ingredients to a blender and blend for 10-30 seconds until smooth (makes 2 small milkshakes or 1 large!). Top with whipped cream and a cherry, if desired!

• 2 cups vanilla icecream
• 1 cup milk (any kind)
• ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
• ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1-2 drops green food coloring
• Optional: Whipped Cream & cherry on top!

Substitutions

After a few experiments with flavor extracts & syrups, it turns out that just 5 ingredients I already had in my pantry were all I need to make a homemade version of the shamrock shake!

While McDonald's uses a mint syrup for these, this is a great recipe that doesn't require buying any special creme de mint syrup (which can be hard to find & pricey!). Just grab favorite vanilla cream, milk, and pepperming and vanilla extracts to create this minty fresh concoction! You could spend $3 on a fast food version or you can make them at home...without having to get in your car!
