Ingredients

  • 10 cups rice or corn Chex cereal (12 oz box)
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup butter feel free to substitute with margarine
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 10 ounce bag of milk chocolate Cadbury Mini Eggs

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips (2 cups), peanut butter (1 cup), and butter (½ cup, i.e., 1 stick). Melt on 50% power in the microwave for one minute. After one minute, stir the mixture, and microwave at 50% power in 30-second increments until the mixture is melted.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract (2 teaspoons).
  • Place the rice or corn Chex mix (10 cups) in a large heat-resistant bowl & pour the hot mixture over top. Stir until evenly coated.
  • Add the powdered sugar (3 cups) and mix until coated (you can also use a large brown paper sack to shake the mixture).
  • Place the Cadbury Mini Eggs into a 1-gallon resealable bag. Crush with heavy object (rolling pin or meat mallet), until most are broken in half. Do not crush to crumbs. Mix the Cadbury eggs into the puppy chow mixture.
  • Storing: Store in airtight container or resealable bag in the refrigerator. Serving: Serve in a large bowl or gift in plastic bags using my printable tags for the cutest Easter treat.
