- 2 cups white chocolate chips (10-12 oz. bag)
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter (unsalted or salted is fine)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter (it won't work as well with natural peanut butter)

- Mini Cadbury Eggs, M&M's, or your favorite Easter candy
How to Make This Puppy Chow Easter Snack:
Step 1: Melt Ingredients
In a medium-sized, microwave-safe bowl, combine the white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Melt on 50% power in the microwave for one minute. After one minute, stir the mixture, and microwave at 50% power in 30-second increments until the mixture is melted. Take out of the microwave, add in the vanilla, then stir until creamy.
Step 2: Mix With Cereal & Add Powdered Sugar
Place the Chex mix in a large heat-resistant bowl & pour the hot mixture over top. Stir until evenly coated. Mix in powdered sugar (you can pour the mixture into a 2-gallon resealable plastic bag or a large brown paper sack and shake until coated).
Step 3: Crush Cadbury Eggs & Mix-In
To break apart the Cadbury eggs, place the Cadbury Mini Eggs into a 1-gallon resealable bag. Crush with a heavy object (rolling pin or meat mallet), until most are broken in half. Do not crush to crumbs. Mix the crushed Cadbury eggs into the puppy chow mixture.
Step 4: Eat or Gift!

Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the best white chocolate chips to use?
When baking, I typically prefer using Ghiradellie or Nestle as they melt down the best. But you can typically use any brand that you find, just be sure to use one you like the flavor of! Some white chocolate chips taste waxy and fake and will not be as tasty in this puppy chow.
Can I make this on the stovetop?
Yes, simply melt the butter, peanut butter, and white chocolate chips on the stovetop on low heat. Once melted, stir in vanilla extract and continue to step 3 below.
What if I can't find Cadbury mini eggs?
You could also make this with Easter M&M's or any other type of chocolate candy!
