This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group and Sharpie, but all opinions are my own. #pmedia #StaplesBTS http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV

So I may be out of school, but that doesn’t prevent me from hitting up all these back to school sales. If I had to name two greatest mysteries in this world, they would be the disappearances of bobby pins and markers. It doesn’t matter how many you buy, they will always find a way to vanish. So for that reason alone, I refuse to pay full price for anything that I will most likely lose within months weeks of buying. I find it funny how I can manage to keep track of things from 10 years ago, but a marker that I just got last week is too much to handle. Good thing I don’t own any pets.

Back in my school shopping days, we were always bargain hunting for the best supply deals. Coming from a big family, we were usually allowed one “fun” folder (hello, Lisa Frank!) and then the rest of the folders were generic 10 cent ones from Staples (my childhood dream land). Now that I live less than 5 minutes from that dream land, I get most of my business & office supplies from there. Believe it or not, all the hand lettering I do for my shop is done with markers I get at Staples. Not fancy markers that cost $8/each, but simple black markers you probably already have hiding around the house.

The color is nice & rich, which makes them ideal for illustrating since the dark colors make the sketches easy to scan in and trace.

These colorful little treats also make for great back to school teacher gifts! Get a pack of Sharpies, attach them to these scissors printables, and you have an easy (and compact!) teacher gift. So many fun colors to choose from and they even have new neon colors.

While supplies last, all Sharpie Fine and Ultra Fine assortment packs and Sharpie Neon Marker packs are currently on sale at Staples through August 24th.

You can leave them open or fold them up for a fun surprise! I was going to make some pun about them being a cut above the rest, but it’s getting late and my creativity is lacking.
