The Super Bowl may be over, but that doesn’t mean that the pizza parties have to stop you don’t have to stop getting pizza from the New York pizzerias! These printable pizza boxes are the perfect addition to your game day gathering, birthday party, or just as a fun treat box for pizza shaped goodies. A few months ago, I randomly stumbled across the amazing Instagram account of Sam Ushiro and it wasn’t long before I scrolled to the very bottom of her feed in awe of her amazing talents and love for pizza-themed DIY projects. After a email asking if she wanted to design some cute pizza cookies to go with these printable boxes, she agreed, and our pizza collaboration began! Sam lives in New York and considering I’m headed there this week to indulge in every NY pizza joint I can find, I thought this would be the perfect preparation to my pizza adventure!
Sam designed and made the cutest little pizza cookies to go along with these printable boxes using one of her favorite Martha Stewart sugar cookie recipes. To create the icing, she mixed together 1 cup powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 2 tablespoons milk or water until smooth. Once mixed, she separated the icing into 3 bowls and then used food coloring to die each bowl red, yellow, or brown. She then added the icing to piping bags (I use small ziploc bags with the corner snipped off) to create the pizza icing! You’ll want to pipe the borders of the cookies first and allow to dry slightly before filling in the rest.

I only had the patience to create the circle pizzas above, but maybe one day when I up my cookie decorating game, I too can make such cute tiny slices.
