What do you do when 8 girls crave brownies without a trace of brownie mix to ever be found? Stalk the internet until you find a solution. And in this case, the solution was well worth the one hour wasted on Pinterest.
If anyone has been/lived in Europe, you probably know that Nutella is all the rave. Forget Peanut Butter, Nutella is where it’s at over in these parts. My undying love for Peanut Butter makes it very hard for me to type that last statement. But when you live in a country without peanut butter, these things just happen. It’s a sad reality that I’ve had to learn to accept.
So what do I do in these extreme situations? I set off to find a recipe without a brownie mix…and without baking powder. (My hunt for that in the store is a whole different story.) Cake mix here is the equivalent to almost $10. Yes, TEN dollars for a box of Betty Crocker. Not going to happen.
And that’s when I came across a gem-of-a-recipe. Using only 3 ingredients. All of which I could find in the store. And that’s when I made it with my annoyingly-anti-baker-Italian-oven.
Nutella Brownies
With just 3 ingredients, these Nutella brownies are quick to make, don't need a blender, and are the perfect way to curb that chocolate craving.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Nutella
- 2 eggs
- 10 tablespoons all-purpose flour

Instructions
-
Put all ingredients into a bowl and stir. Pour into a greased 9x9 (or equivalent) pan.
-
Bake at 350F for around 30 minutes (or until insides are no longer doughy/runny). I topped with hazelnut chocolate wafer sticks.
-
For thinner brownies, bake in a larger pan (9x13, for example). For thicker brownies, bake in a smaller pan.
Last Step! Please leave a review and rating letting me know how you liked this recipe! This helps my small business thrive so I can continue providing free recipes and high-quality content for you.
Recipe Notes
My turned out a little more "doughy" than normal. All thanks to my non-existant skills of working an Italian Celsius oven. They tasted just fine, but feel free to bake yours longer to become more firm.
