Download and print these funny free printable birthday cards on cardstock for a easy last-minute card idea!
Truth be told. I don’t think I have ever bought a store-made greeting card. Not only do I find it hard to spend $3-4 on a store-bought card, I rarely plan far enough ahead to snag one up before I need it. I totally wait to the last minute to do these types of things and I am usually making a card the night before or day of. Give me a piece of paper and a pack of markers and I am good to go. Take that Hallmark.
And with the uprise of this whole technology thing, part of me thinks handwritten cards are becoming a lost art. I find it way too easy to throw a “Happy Birthday” on a friends Facebook wall, rather than sending them a real card. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It’s much easier to type up a few words than to write and send a handwritten card through snail mail. I know. I’m guilty-to-the-max of this cyber crime, but there’s something about getting mail that I will never get bored of. The personal aspect, the handmade quality, or simply knowing that person spent the time out of their busy lives to sit down and write it.I need to get better at becoming that person. I need to buy a pack of stamps and get cracka-lackin. I can make a million excuses like, “I’m too busy” or “That 2 mile drive the post office is too long” but in reality there are no excuses. I need to get my life together once and for all.
So in preparation of becoming a better friend (and less of a fail-ski) I designed these 5×7 printable birthday cards. Now I have NO excuses for not having the time when a special event arises. I can print it off in .4 seconds, write it up, seal it, and send it off in less than 10 minutes. Heck, if I logged into Facebook to wish someone a happy birthday it could take an hour before I log off. That 2 second task can easily turn into an hour of Facebook stalking everyone and their mom. You know how it is. Don’t pretend I’m the only one who does this. Haha. And now you don’t have an excuse either. Because whenever you’re in need of a last-minute b-day card…you can stop by here and download this baby time and time again.

Good plan :D I love getting handmade mail, and am totally the same as you- give me a few minutes and a pack of markers over buying a card any time!

My dad is a postman and my mom is a classic Southern lady, so handwritten cards were a must growing up. I feel like I’m the only one who writes them, so it’s nice to see that there are others that do too. Totally saving this cute card for future use. Thanks and have a fabulous Friday! :)
