Print off this Free Printable Alphabet Art as an easy, cute, and fun way to add color to nursery walls, kid’s bedroom walls, home offices, or classrooms. Allow the kid’s to color in the letters, then attach to the wall with colorful washi tape or place in an 8×10″ frame for long-term wall art!
If there’s anything I know about redecorating, it’s that it’s expensive. With regular throw pillows these days costing $20 each, it can be hard to justify paying for things (especially nursery art or kid’s art) when it’s likely that you’ll redecorate in a few years. There are lots of cute designs online, but what if you want something a little more DIY and a little more personalized?
Enter these alphabet art prints that you can print at home using black ink and then let the kids color their own! And when they’re finished, they not only have printable wall art for their room that they helped create but when they grow out of the decor in a few years, you can take it out of the frame and keep it in their keepsake box.
Don’t plan to use it as wall art? Instead, keep this printable (along with my other freebies like these printable Bingo cards!) in your back pocket as an alphabet coloring page for rainy day activities!
What You Need to Make Alphabet Art:
- Coloring Book Alphabet Art Printable Download
- White Cardstock (Text-Weight Paper also works, but will be more prone to the kids crinkling it while coloring)
- Crayons or Markers
- Scissors or Paper Trimmer
- 8×10 Picture Frame (or you can hang with washi tape)
How to Make Alphabet Art:
Step 1: Print the alphabet art printable on 8.5 x 11″ white cardstock or text-weight paper.
Step 2:Â Allow the kids to color in each letter using crayons or markers.
Step 3: Once finished, use scissors or paper trimmer to trim around the printed border to the 8×10″ size.
Step 4:Â Â Attach to the wall with colorful washi tape or place in an 8×10 frame for DIY kids wall art!
Designed with hand-drawn letters, this alphabet art is sure to check both boxes in trendy and fun! My favorite part in black and white coloring pages is that it allows the kids to use whatever colors they’d like, but if you’re wanting it to semi-match their room’s color scheme, then just give them the handful of crayons that match.
They’ll be left with an alphabet art print they’re proud of and you’ll be left with a unique room decoration that didn’t cost an arm and a leg!
