I believe that you don’t need to spend a ton of money or have fancy decorating/crafting skills to create memories in the kitchen. I strive to come up with unique, innovative, and approachable ideas that inspire creativity in homes and make you think “I can make that!” no matter your skill level.Whether it’s making class treats, teacher gifts, or party favors – my goal is to encourage creativity and help make your busy life a little more colorful and sweet.
Todays special project is !

Yup, that’s right. I am a certified sprinkle collector.  So when I came across this spice rack at Goodwill I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!  And that was to turn this old school wooden spice rack into a sprinkle display.  Best part?  I only paid $5 for it!

And…Here it is after its little makeover!
(Just added a few coats of white spray paint and
some labels I designed and printed out!)

I am making these for 4 family members with young children for Christmas. Each jar will hold holiday sprinkles and the tag on them will be punched out of matching scrapbook paper. Needless to say I had to plan a year in advance to start collecting the sprinkles…usually after the holidays when they have stores have their markdown items. What fun to have all the sprinkles on hand for school parties.

Oh how fun!!! That is so thoughtful of you. I’d love to see a photo of the final product when you’re done with them!!

wow i would never think to repurpose a spice rack….so cool. Love your blog. I have a fake blog because I still don’t know how to go about it but I’ve been taking pictures of all my finds. Love my Salvation Army (affectionately called Sally’s Boutique) They know me there and always say “what are you going to do with that???
