Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a nice, relaxing, and productive weekend! I know I sure did. Today I have a inexpensive way to deck out your laptop!

I can’t tell you how much time I spent last year looking for a cute cover for my new laptop. I scoured the internet and stores for the perfect one that wouldn’t break the bank. Many of the ones I wanted were priced at $30-$50…umm, no thank you. I would think to myself, “Why can’t I just make my own”? Well I could have but you see…I never got around to it and my poor little macbook stayed its sleek silver finish. It would often ask me why it couldn’t be as pretty as all the other MacBooks in class. And I would have to tell it, “Sorry little mac, one day you will have a pretty coat like all the other kids.” Haha. Okay, that’s enough with my going-off-on-a-tangent-dramatic-dialogue.

Anyways…I was sitting in class one day when I spotted a classmates newly decked out laptop. It was adorable, and I had to know how she did it. With just a piece of fabric, a little stitched on heart, and some tape she had transformed her laptop from bland to beautiful. Check out some of the photos below to see how easily it can be done.

*Note: I realize this post won’t relate to everyone since everyone has different computers, but it was just too adorable not to share with you all!

My boring old laptop is on the right, staring jealously at the one to its side.
If you have a plastic cover for your laptop, simply remove it to add the fabric.
She stitched on a little cut out heart to complete the look.
I love the ruggedness of the stitching!
Wrap the fabric around the case and tape to the inside.

Snap the cover back on and wa-lah you’re done!

Can you say adorable?!? If you are looking to deck out your laptop but don’t have the same computer as the photos, you can always take some cute scrapbooking paper and tape it to the top. A simple and inexpensive way to beautify your laptop!PS. Shout-out to my wonderful classmate who let me steal her computer to take pics!

You da’ best!

What do you all think? Something you would try?

Did you make this?

This is such a great idea, very cute!! I wish I had an easy mac laptop that had that case I could just pop out and decorate but I do not. This can work for the iphone4 too with its clear, plastic cases. Either scrapbook paper or fabric. Great idea!!

This is soooo cute!!! Great idea!! I love how you young girls are soooo into DIY and cute, low cost ways to decorate…I wish I had an easy mac with that pop out to do this, what a great idea. Just like for iphone4 with the clear case, you can decorate it with fabric or scrapbook paper and have so many choices.
