What You Need to Make A Valentines Gift Box
To make a Valentines gift box, you’ll need white cardstock, an exacto knife, double-sided tape, and the printable template (plus cupcake liners if filling with berries). I’ve included instructions and cutting guides on the download, so you know exactly where to cut, score, and fold.
Tip: If you have a die-cutting machine and want this file, you can find that here.
Materials

How to Make a Valentines Gift Box:
Step 1: Print & Cut
Download the printable Valentines gift box PDF and print on 8.5 x 11″ white cardstock (I use Neenah 65# Bright White). Use a scissors or exacto knife to cut along edges.
Step 2: Cut, Score, and Fold
Use a scissors, exacto knife, or die-cutting machine to cut along the edges. Use the tip of the exacto knife to score the fold lines (dashed) where indicated in the PDF download.
Step 3: Assemble
Apply strong double-sided adhesive to the flaps then adhere closed.
To add a little personalization to each one, I cut out green leaves from cardstock and hand wrote each name with a brown marker.
Step 3: Fill, Embellish, and Gift!
Fill with your favorite treats, tie closed with some cute baker’s twine and a tag then gift away!
Tip: Each berry from Shari’s Berries comes with a little cushion to catch the natural juices of the berries, but I went ahead and placed each of them in a non-grease cupcake liner for good measure. If your guests or recipients don’t plan to eat these immediately, I recommend also lining the inside bottom of the boxes with plastic wrap to prevent the juices from coming through.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What size are these Valentines gift boxes?
These boxes measures about 2.75″ (W) x 6.5″ (L) x 1.8″ (D) when assembled.
What paper weight is best for these?
I used 65lb. colored cardstock. You definitely want something thicker than normal computer paper, otherwise these will not hold the candy inside.
What should I fill these treat boxes with?
Fill with chocolate covered strawberries, candy, or small trinkets and hand out as party favors.
