Oh boy have these past few weeks been a whirl-wind. After two solid extended weekends of traveling, staying in hostels, and carrying around a 400 lb. backpack, I have never loved this white-walled apartment more than I do right now.

After getting off the trains & arriving back home, we were greeted with our internet in our apartment being down. Wahh wahh wahh. Which left this internet-deprived girl with little to do but edit photos of my adventures offline.

Which is where I came across this recipe from many moons ago. Don’t ask me how I forgot to post this gem-of-a-recipe, but it happened. When I say that this is probably one of my favorite bar recipes, I mean it 500%. If it wasn’t for my cookie-piranhas-of-brothers, I very well could have devoured this pan myself.

  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar for one minute (mixture should be light and fluffy). Add in eggs and vanilla and beat for 30 seconds, or until smooth.
  2. In a separate medium sized bowl, stir together flour, graham crackers, baking powder and salt.
  3. Combine both the butter and flour mixtures together and mix on low speed using an electric mixer.
  4. Once combined, grease an 8-inch square pan and press half of the dough mixture into the bottom of the pan. Place the two chocolate bars on top of the dough. Next, layer on marshmallow fluff. Carefully drop remaining dough on top of marshmallow fluff and spread dough until top is covered.
  5. Bake for 30- 35 minutes at 350 degress until lightly brown.

Oh, what I would do for some of these bars right about now. Now if only I could find brown sugar & baking powder/soda at the supermarket, I’d be in luck. Until then…no baking for me.

(Notice this trend of MIA staple items in Italian supermarkets lately? Either they don’t exist, or I’m a terrible shopper. Let’s just say that the bread yeast I bought the other day turned out to be angel food powder mix-stuff. Which I can’t use because I can’t read the directions. BAKING FAIL.)

MMMM I need to try these! We’ve been making s’mores in the oven instead of the fire due to rain, but these look delish! Also, I made s’mores with Lindor Truffles the other day and are to DIE FOR! Highly recommend! xx, Allie
